Cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, and AI keep reshaping how teams build and operate software. As 2026 moves into its second half, we’ve curated a list of the most interesting conferences in Europe for the months ahead. From hands-on Kubernetes and DevOps events to platform engineering deep dives and public-sector digitalization summits, these conferences offer practical insights, inspiration, and connections for anyone building, deploying, or managing cloud-native and AI-driven systems at scale. This list also includes our very own meshcloud Con ’26 – and we’ll be at several of these events ourselves, so read on to find out where you can meet the meshcloud team.

1. ContainerDays Hamburg 2026

ContainerDays Hamburg 2026 will take place from September 2 to 4, 2026, at Schuppen 52, a historic harbor warehouse on Hamburg’s waterfront. The three-day, in-person conference is one of Europe’s leading events for Kubernetes, containers, cloud native, and platform engineering, with sessions also covering AI, ML, and Go.

With around 336 speakers, the program spans deep technical tracks on security, cloud native experience, operations, networking, AI & ML, application development, observability, Go, storage, and platform engineering. A co-located event on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) explores the infrastructure behind real-world AI agents, and a special off-site stage aboard the historic vessel MS Bleichen adds a unique twist to the conference.

Set against Hamburg’s maritime backdrop, ContainerDays combines strong technical depth with a relaxed, community-driven atmosphere, making it a key stop for engineers working on cloud-native and platform engineering challenges.

2. dotAI 2026

dotAI 2026 will take place on September 17, 2026, at the historic Folies Bergère theater in Paris. This one-day conference gathers 1,500 AI professionals – AI engineers, ML engineers, data scientists, developers, CTOs, and AI leaders – in an immersive environment built for hands-on learning and technical deep dives.

The program features curated 20-minute sessions by top engineers and researchers from OpenAI, NVIDIA, DeepMind, Hugging Face, and other leading organizations. Attendees can engage directly with speakers through live Q&As, 1:1 conversations, and collaborative sessions, making the event highly interactive rather than lecture-based. dotAI also encourages full-team participation, offering a premium environment for networking, learning, and alignment across data, AI, and engineering teams.

The conference highlights practical applications, real-world case studies, AI infrastructure, and development strategies, combining technical rigor with a high-quality attendee experience.

3. meshcloud Con ’26

The platform community gathers once again on September 24, 2026, from 9am to 5pm, at Atelier Lihotzky in Frankfurt am Main – for meshcloud Con ’26, our own full-day conference. This year’s lineup focuses heavily on real-world implementations, sovereign strategies, and the impact of Agentic AI on internal platforms.

On stage:

  • Mick Becker & Markus von Struensee (EDEKA IT) on "Platform-on-Platform: How EDEKA IT Scales Through Decentralized Self-Service";
  • Harald Joos (Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bund) on "Europas digitale Souveränität stärken: Chancen, Risiken und Strategien jenseits von Schwarz-Weiß-Diskussionen";
  • Andre Fellipe (SUSE) on "From Cloud to Ground: Extending a Cloud GitOps Workflow to On-premises Kubernetes";
  • Benjamin Flaven-Stein & Pascal Petsch (Markant) on "Impacting DevEx, Costs, and Sovereignty with an Internal Developer Platform";
  • David Sterz on "Why Europe’s Cloud Market Should Be Sovereign and Decentralised";
  • Manuel Zapf (codecentric) on "Bare Metal Platform Engineering with Harvester and Rancher"; and
  • Max Körbächer (Liquid Reply) on "We Need to Evolve Our Platforms to Support Agentic AI".

Whether you’re navigating on-prem Kubernetes or figuring out how AI agents fit into your platform strategy, this agenda has you covered. As the host, meshcloud will of course be there all day – join us in Frankfurt to meet the team, hear from top platform engineering practitioners, and connect with the wider community. 4. Smart Country Convention (SCCON) 2026

Smart Country Convention 2026 will take place from October 13 to 15, 2026, at Messe Berlin. As the leading event for digitalization in the public sector across the DACH region, SCCON brings together decision-makers from politics, government, business, research, and civil society – in 2025 the event drew over 23,000 attendees, 500 partners, and 800 speakers.

The program covers digital administration, AI and cloud technologies, state resilience, digital sovereignty and cybersecurity, smart cities and regions, mobility, energy and sustainability, and digital education, through keynotes, workshops, and an extensive expo floor. Participation for trade visitors is free of charge.

5. DevOpsDays Istanbul 2026

DevOpsDays Istanbul 2026 will take place on October 24, 2026, at the Dedeman Bostancı Hotel & Convention Center. As part of the global devopsdays movement, this one-day, community-driven conference brings developers and operations professionals together to explore automation, testing, security, and organizational culture.

The program combines curated talks with self-organized open-space sessions, ignite talks (five-minute lightning presentations with auto-advancing slides), and hands-on workshops. The format is designed to encourage direct exchange between speakers and attendees rather than one-way presentations.

With its strong community focus and compact, single-day format, DevOpsDays Istanbul offers a focused opportunity to connect with the DevOps community in Turkey and the wider region.

6. code.talks 2026

code.talks 2026 will take place on November 4 and 5, 2026, at Kinopolis Hamburg. As Northern Germany’s largest developer conference since 2010, it brings together more than 3,500 developers and CTOs across 14 curated tracks and 100+ sessions.

The program is built to be future-proof in the age of AI, with roughly 90% of the content kept independent from sponsors. code.talks positions itself between broad commercial conferences and narrow, niche events, offering a wide-ranging program for entire development teams rather than a single specialty.

With its scale, community focus, and strong curation, code.talks is a key gathering point for engineering teams looking to stay current across the full breadth of modern software development.

7. CLC 2026
